My journey in stock markets started as a trader. A group of trainers (claiming they are Value Investors) introduced me to value investing. Though their knowledge of value-investing was a mere scratch on the surface, it was good enough for me to get started with the stock market. It was a three-day BootCamp where the trainers would teach some superficial fundamental analysis. A crude and dumb way to find the intrinsic or fair value of a stock, and made some rudimentary spreadsheet analysis. On day three of the BootCamp, these trainers' sole aim was to up-sell, cross-sell, mis-sell, → sell something more, such that their pockets remain flooded. What started as a 'VALUE-INVESTING' BootCamp ended with aggressive options trading BootCamp. Now, I am not here to expose any such trainer or training, but the sole purpose is to share the lessons that people don't fall prey to these predators!
